Merry Christmas!
To all my fourth graders and your parents,
I am praying for you and I hope you have a wonderful
Christmas break! Love, Mrs. Dickens
Please help our school with our annual non-perishable food items. We will be collecting the good items over the next two weeks. Students may bring the goods to our classroom. Let us help our community and give. Thank you for your support. Mrs. Dickens

Imaginary Insect Day
Fourth Graders finished our Science unit on insects and spiders. We enjoyed talking about their creations and had a fun afternoon showing off the imaginary critters. It's fun being in fourth grade!
"And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God mad the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:24-25, NKJV).

Geography in Dickensville
Our fourth grade students reviewed continents and oceans by completing a blank world map.
Lots of fun learning in Dickensville.
We also discussed God creating the earth and His plan for mankind, to worship Him.

Mrs. Harrison taught our students about the Russian Painter/Artist, Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944). Kandinsky is known as the pioneer of Abstract Art. The students worked with "dots" to replicate Kandinsky's theory of abstract art. Thank you Mrs. Harrison, we are grateful for your talents and your desire to teach our children about the world of art.

Book Club
We have officially started our 2020-2021 Book Club in fourth grade. Reading Logs are in student homework folders and we will start our reading assignments on Monday. I want to teach your child to love reading. Let them share their books with you. Blessed to be the teacher of this group.
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. (Psalm 34:1-2. NJKV)
